Whether it’s body cleansing or relaxation, the term “Hamam,” the Turkish steam bath, represents a traditional bathing culture that dates back far into history.

The origin of the Hamam culture can be found in the Orient and its significance has remained unchanged over the millennia. Visiting the Hamam still serves as a meeting place for communication. In a relaxed atmosphere, the refreshing ritual can be celebrated together with companions. It is not uncommon to hear laughter and see dancing in this setting.

In this fascinating bathing ceremony, the Hamam towels are wrapped around the body and are an integral part of this refreshing ritual that provides cleansing and relaxation.

1. Lighter and more compact: They take up significantly less space than bulky terry cloth towels, making them ideal for travel, the gym, or small storage spaces.
2. Quick-drying: Their flat weave allows them to dry much faster, preventing mildew and musty odors.
3. Versatile: They can be used as bath towels, beach towels, picnic blankets, scarves, or even sarongs.
4. Durable: They are typically more durable than conventional towels and can last for years with proper care.
5. Sustainable: Often made from natural fibers like cotton and linen, they are biodegradable and a more eco-friendly choice.  

Yes, hammam towels are very absorbent, especially after a few washes. While they may feel thinner, their long fibers and weave allow them to absorb a surprising amount of water.
They become even more absorbent with each wash.  

Tested according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means that the Samimi hammam towels have been tested for a range of harmful substances, optical brighteners or similar. The hammam towels are free of harmful substances and certified according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. High-quality materials made of natural fibers are used for production, which can come into contact with the skin without hesitation.

1. Pre-Wash Before First Use: Before using your Samimi Hammam towel for the first time, wash it to remove production residues and soften the fibers. Use a mild detergent at 30°C (86°F) and avoid fabric softener to maintain its absorbency.
   
2. Washing:Wash your towel at a maximum of 30°C (86°F). For colored towels, wash separately or with similar colors, as they may bleed slightly during the first few washes. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals that can damage the fibers.
   
3. Drying: Air drying is recommended, but if machine drying, use a low temperature and avoid over-drying to prevent warping or deformation.
   
4. Storage: Store your towel in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

1. Trim the Pulled Thread: Carefully cut the pulled thread close to the fabric. Avoid pulling it further to prevent additional damage.
2. Repair Any Holes: If the pulled thread has caused a hole, you can mend it with a needle and matching thread. Choose a thread color that blends with the towel to make the repair less noticeable.

It is particularly important for us to consciously strengthen fair trade, which is why we only work with selected weaving mills. The production facility is located in Bolduan, Türkiye. In order to guarantee the quality of the hammam towels, care is taken to retain the traditional weaving.
We also welcome the high proportion of female staff here. In this way we can still contribute in the region to women being able to gain financial independence by working for Samimi hammam towels.
